S.T. Dupont has timed its Classique pen revival to coincide with a resurgence of Kennedy-family interest, fueled by an upcoming TV series on John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. Originally designed at Jackie Kennedy’s request more than 50 years ago to pair with her engraved lighter, the updated Classique line leans into the nostalgia of handwriting in a digital age. CEO Alain Crevet emphasizes that this edition honors the original’s refined guilloché finish while adapting its silhouette for today’s collectors.

Trend expert Jalil Johnson recalls growing up enchanted by Jackie’s portrait on his grandmother’s fridge—a personal anecdote that underscores her enduring style power. He predicts the new Classique will be snapped up by those who value both craftsmanship and legacy. The collection debuts in five finishes (palladium, gold, and lacquer options), priced from $425–$495, and is supported by imagery—gloved hands, pearls, and monogrammed details—that reinforce the pen’s link to Kennedy’s iconic elegance. Crevet hints that this relaunch is just the beginning of a broader heritage-focused strategy.
